August was a very hectic month for the hole family.

Andreas and Philip started in schools again and we got all our furniture back into our house. At the same time Mikael started off in a new position at his job, so a lot of changes for all of us. Luckily Mai was still on maternity leave until December, so she could do a lot of all the practical stuff.

We were very lucky with the weather when we returned to Denmark. Because the summer arrived together with us, but unfortunately it only stayed for 2 weeks, but we enjoyed it. The summer in Denmark has been very very wet.

It was funny to discover how things was almost the same as when we left, but it made it a lot easier to return.

In the late summer we had our first visit to Mai's parents. They live in Bandholm on a little island called Lolland. When we visit them we often stay a night or two, because it's a long drive for a Dane (1,5-2 hours). Peter (Mai's dad) had bought a 4 wheeler motorbike and the boys just loved it.

At the beginning of September we had got all our stuff from US and slowly getting into place in our own home. The boys were very happy to get all their things back and to get their room organized. At the same time the hole family were very busy catching up with old friends it was lovely to see all of you again. In September sports starts and Andreas and Philip both started out with swimming and gym. Philip has later in the fall dropped out of swimming so now he is only doing gym ones a week. Andreas is getting very good at swimming and he enjoys the Tuesdays very much.

Oliver is still a very easy baby, he sleeps a lot and Mai brings him almost everywhere. He is putting on weight and growing the best he can, so that is perfect.

Halloween isn't celebrated in Denmark in the same way as in US, but it's coming in to us more and more. This year we went to Tivoli in October where they celebrate Halloween, Tivoli is a fun park in a beautiful garden, and they had a Halloween parade and pumpkins everywhere.

Time is running fast in Denmark as in US, so in the beginning of December we had invited all our family and friends to Oliver's christening. It was a fantastic way to start of December, and it was lovely for us to see so much of our family that we haven't seen for more than a year. We all had a great day and Oliver enjoyed it very much.

In the middle of December (17th) Mai started work again and Mikael started parents leave for 4 weeks. Parents leave is an opportunity we have in Denmark, where you can take leave from your work to stay home with your kids for a while.  So a the moment Mikael is home with Oliver. Oliver will start daycare the 1st of January 2008, and then Mikael will go back to work in the middle of January when Oliver is well integrated in Daycare.

Christmas 2007 was celebrated in Bandholm with Mai's parents and brother and wee all had a great time.

The family Sorud wish you all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
